Prepared?

On Tuesday this week we had a small earthquake. The kids and I were at the library. It was kind of loud as the books and building rattled. People looked around at each other wondering what was going on. I gathered the children close. There wasn't much else to do. The library was evacuated, but we were able to go back in 20 minutes later to get the items I needed. The interesting thing was that we were just on our way to buy some extra candles in case of power outages this coming weekend. We will see if Hurricane Irene will allow the children the pleasure of using flashlights.
