Sultana Field Trip

Yesterday, Anson had a field trip in Baltimore.  They got to spend a few hours on this ship.  The original Sultana was built in the late 1700's in the colonies and was sold to the British Royal Navy.  It was a small and very fast ship.  The children also got to test the water in the Chesapeake Bay for salinity, temperature, and pH.  They explored the ship, saw where the sailors would have slept, and learned about what the entertainment, food, and medical tools would have been like.

The rest of us walked around Baltimore, and played with friends.  Charlotte was not feeling well, and spent the day in the stroller.  She was a trooper!
