Charlotte is almost 17 months. She is as sweet as can be, and brings a smile to many. She likes, oranges, tomatoes, Indian food, beans, and ice cream cones (as long as she can hold it herself). That's about all she will eat. She is still drinking lots of mommy milk. Charlotte comprehends what is being said and going on most of the time. When I ask "Who wants...?" She will reply, "I do." She talks a lot, and will repeat on demand (Anson likes to play, "Charlotte, say..."). She has said her first prayers in the past week. She knows several of the letters, and likes to point them out. When one of the boys is sad, she will sign sad, and then go give them a hug. She loves her dolls, books, balls, playing outside, putting on big shoes and dad's ties, drawing, and talking on the phone. She loves her dad. She lights up and bubbles with excitement when we hear the garage opening. We recently joined a gym, and she goes to the child minding place while I work out. She DOESN'T like it. It breaks my heart that when we pull into the parking lot she starts to cry and says "mommy, mommy, mommy." She is still attached to me, but starting to be comfortable with others, as long as I am around. I can count on Charlotte to ask to watch Baby Signing Time, want more tomatoes, insist on drinking by herself (without a straw or lid), want to be held a lot of the day, wake up at least three times during the night, give lots of excellent hugs, request certain books or songs by saying yes or no until I get the right one, make my heart burst with love. Here are some pictures of this precious, little joy.
