We have had our share of nightmare plane rides. Thankfully the children are mostly at ages that plane rides are quite doable. Charlotte is the one who wants to move around a lot, but she does quite well if I sit her on the seat between myself and Anson. It also REALLY helps to have extra hands. Nana was able to fly with us to Utah. On the way back Glen was with us. We put Anson on the seat in front of us between two strangers. He did great. The man let him play angry birds on his ipad. The lady sitting next to him said, "Your son is so polite and well behaved, I would fly next to him to Paris. He has almost made me consider having children of my own." Glen commented to me quietly after her comment that she wasn't in the bathroom with us for the diarrhea experience. Children have all kinds of moments, and people are quick to make judgements based on what they see in that specific moment. One thing having children definitely does is help me to be less critical of other parents. I was grateful Anson did such a nice, polite job on the plane.
