Never go to a private campground on the Fourth of July with a two year old and seven month old. It may sound like a fun adventure, but be aware that fireworks will begin at dark. Take note that you may have neighbors listening to not so family friendly music. Don't forget that babies don't magically sleep through the night just because you are in a tent. I may go camping again. Anson thought it was the best time in his life, and I think Glen enjoyed eating hot dogs. I loved every second with my family, but I promise there were many "why are we doing this" moments. My favorite part of the day was singing all of the patriotic hymns with my family. That is a tradition brought to us by Glen. I am grateful for his love of country.

Sorry it was not what you expected. All the same, I'm sure 20 years from now you'll remember this as a fun experience as a young mom :). We love camping and have not yet gone with a baby so we are planning on going some time in August, but I'm a little nervous about having a 10 month old with us. Daniel does really well but he's four! :) We'll have to let you know how it goes :)
Ha! That's too funny Krista! I've been on the fence about camping and I have to agree with Cynthia--all my painful experiences are hilarious now, so it may make it worth it...then again, do I REALLY need another story to tell?? :) You're so brave!
That does sound like an adventure Kris. It's probably a great memory that you'll look back on and laugh when they are all grown and gone. I sure miss you guys!! That;s funny, I just realized that I said the same thing that the wilson family said. I sware I didn't steal the thought. Anyways....I really am grateful for people like Glen who help us remember how lucky we are. That's a great tradition.
