We stayed in Mestre, on the land side of Venice. It was a great stay. The kids had a room that they made into a ninja hideout. There was a market and a bakery just down the street from our hotel. I loved seeing all of the people on their bikes with baskets to pick up their items. It was just before Easter (Pasqua) and people were picking up their Colomba cake. We enjoyed some delicious goodies from the bakery.
