Our next stop was Venice. Venice is really cool. The kids had fun chasing pigeons in St. Mark's Square while we tried to keep up with them. If you are planning to travel to Italy with children, St. Mark's square may be the only place you run into many other children. We really stood out with four children. On one occasion there were some people speaking in Italian and Glen overheard them saying we couldn't be Italian because we had four children. He promptly said--in Italian--"Italians can have four children." Then he smiled and said we were Americans. We were also mistaken for people from Israel when Glen was wearing his white church shirt and blue jacket without a tie, and Charlotte and I were still in our church dresses, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Back to Venice. If you have a chance, I would recommend visiting.
